The Future Is Weird AF (Trilogy), the latest work by artist and filmmaker Silvia Dal Dosso, curated by Daniela Cotimbo, will be on view at the Silos space of the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere. The project is part of Re:humanism 4 – Timeline Shift, the fourth edition of the Re:humanism Art Prize, which opened on June 18. Structured as a trilogy, the experimental film proposes a visionary narrative set in a post-post-post-truth world, where artificial intelligence generates voices, identities, and alternative realities. The viewer is guided by the synthetic voice of British documentarian Adam Curtis, known for his essay-films on the history of power, media, and social manipulation, reproduced here through voice cloning software. Deceased celebrities brought back to life, billionaires fleeing underground, virtual influencers, emotional advertising, and relationships with bots populate the film’s dystopian and hyperreal landscape. Composed entirely of archival materials, the work shifts between cultural critique, memetic aesthetics, and satirical forays into the present, offering a chaotic and disorienting portrait of the generative AI era.
